Project Manager - Financial Services Reinsurance (Daily Rate Contract)

Exactest requires a senior Project Manager for a large Financial Services Reinsurance project based in Dublin City on a 9 month contract. The Finance department of our client is undertaking a strategic transformation initiative with the implementation of a centralised Reinsurance operating model for 12 countries which are branches of the Dublin based entity. An experienced Project Manager is required to plan and manage the Business change and transition to the end state Operating model.

To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience of project delivery with a minimum of
7 years relevant experience. This must be within a Financial Services environment and ideally with prior
business transition or migration experience ideally in Reinsurance. You must also be able to demonstrate working to the lower level project detail as opposed to strategic only.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross functional projects.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), especially with regards to providing information to Senior Exec and Management.
  • Customer facing experience - leading meetings with suppliers and partners customers, providing input to resolve any issues, and driving any actions to completion.
  • Identify, manage and lead stakeholder engagement across multiple functions and locations with a particular emphasis on defining roles and responsibilities necessary to deliver the Target Operating Model.
  • Provide regular and consistent reporting to applicable project stakeholders, executive team and external parties as required.
  • Escalate issues in an appropriate, timely, and tactful manner.
  • Actively participate in resolution of issues and conflicts, internally as well as with clients and vendors where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure
  • Uses data and analysis to make decisions and to influence others
  • Drives & manages change using influencing skills
  • Experience with Back Office platforms and integrations of systems and processes within Financial Services environment
  • Previous experience of delivery within a Global multinational organisation
  • Project Management qualification

  • Previous experience of managing Business transformation projects.
  • Back office platforms and integration of systems / processes within a Life and Pensions environment.
  • IT/Computer Science or related third level degree.
  • 7+ years Project Management in Financial Services.
